Guide to Corruptions and tolerances

CORRUPTIONS in invokers: titan legacy

Overview

Corruptions in Invokers: Titan Legacy are special curses used by Bosses and sometimes their minions (totems, spawned minions etc).

They are much more dangerous than normal Debuffs, they do not follow regular Accuracy and Resistance rules and can quickly destroy even the toughest team if you ignore them.

There are two types of Corruptions:

  1. Control Corruptions = hard crowd control with an extra nasty effect
  2. Damage Corruptions = stacking DoTs that tick overtime and deal your invokers damage

To survive high-level Dungeons, you must understand both Corruptions and the Tolerance stat that counters them.

Control Corruptions – “stun + something worse”:

Control Corruptions are powerful control effects. They usually stun or otherwise disable your hero and add a second penalty on top:

  • Crush – Stuns the hero and makes them take increased damage.

  • Manashock – Stuns and drains a big chunk of Titan/Ultimate mana.

  • Frost – Freezes the hero and stops their skill cooldowns from recovering.

  • Daze – Stuns and strips several active buffs.

  • Paralysis – Stuns and increases cooldowns of your active skills.

  • Nightmare – Puts the hero into a “fear/sleep” state and, when it ends, sends one of their active skills to max cooldown.

If a Boss casts these on your invokers, your team can end up locked down and unable to move or fight for a quite a long time, usually around 10 seconds.

Damage Corruptions – stacking DoTs that ignore Defense

Damage Corruptions are different: they stack infinitely and each stack:

  1. Deals damage over time.

  2. Reduces one of your stats (Accuracy, Heal received, etc.).

Important:

Damage from Corruptions ignores Defense. Even your tankiest frontliner can melt if they collect too many stacks.

Examples:

  • Mindfog – Deals damage over time and reduces Accuracy with every stack.

  • Fatigue – Deals damage and slows your Movement Speed per stack.

  • Blight – Deals damage and slows your Skill Cooldown recovery.

  • Manaburn – Deals damage and lowers your mana generation.

  • Atrophy – Deals damage and reduces RES.

  • Bloodrot – Deals damage and reduces all healing received.

More stacks = more damage + stronger stat penalty.

Tolerances – your defense against Corruptions

Tolerance is a special stat that protects heroes from a specific type of Corruption.

You can get Tolerance from:

  • hero passives,

  • special gear and set bonuses,

  • mana circle / progression upgrades.

Each Tolerance only works against its own Corruption.
For example: Stun Tolerance does not help against Freeze or Nightmare, and Bloodrot Tolerance does nothing against Mindfog.

How Tolerance works vs Control Corruptions

For Control Corruptions (stuns, freezes, etc.) Tolerance reduces the duration of the effect.

  • More Tolerance → shorter stun/fear/freeze.

  • At 100% Tolerance, that Corruption simply doesn’t apply to the hero.

So a hero with 100% Stun Tolerance is effectively immune to that specific control Corruption.

How Tolerance works vs Damage Corruptions

For Damage Corruptions, Tolerance reduces the damage you take from that Corruption.

  • More Tolerance → less damage per tick from that DoT.

  • At 100% Tolerance, the hero still gets stacks visually, but they deal 0 damage.

The debuff icon can show many stacks, but if you’ve reached 100% Tolerance, those stacks are basically “fake” – they don’t hurt anymore.

Tolerance by hero rarity

Different hero rarities have different access to Tolerance:

  • Common & Uncommon heroes

    • Have 1 Tolerance type (for one specific Corruption).

    • It starts at 50%.

    • By upgrading skills you can push it up to 150%.

  • Epic heroes

    • Have 2 different Tolerance types.

    • Each of them starts at 50% and can be upgraded up to 150%.

  • Legendary heroes

    • Also have 2 different Tolerance types.

    • Each of them starts at 100% and can be upgraded up to 200%.

Epic and Legendary invokers with both tolerances equal to 2 tolerances of a Boss are a perfect match for that Boss.

Tolerance Relic sets

On top of hero skills, you can push Tolerance further with special gear:

  • For every Tolerance type there is a dedicated Tolerance set.

  • Equipping the full set gives +50% Tolerance to that specific Corruption.

  • This bonus stacks with your hero’s own Tolerance from skills and upgrades, helping you reach up to 200% Tolerance on Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic heroes.

  • Tolerance sets drop only from Dungeon bosses, so farming the right boss is essential if you want to get Tolerance sets.

Collecting and upgrading these sets is a core part of late-game progression: they let you turn brutal boss mechanics into something your team can comfortably ignore.
